Biography

Dr Prakash C Deedwania is Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. He is Chief of the Cardiology Division and the Director of Cardiovascular Research for VACCHCS/ UCSF Medical Education Program, Fresno and also a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford University, Palo Alto. 

Dr Deedwania also serves on the Guideline Committee of Heart Failure Society of America. He is chairman of the International Steering Committee for the Study Assessing Goals in the Elderly (SAGE) and past-president of the International Society of Holter Monitoring and Noninvasive Cardiology (ISHNE). Dr Deedwania has also served on the AHA Program Committee for the Annual Scientific Sessions. He is President of the California Chapter of American Society of Hypertension. He has authored or co-authored more than 350 articles in referred medical journals including leading journals such as NEJM, JAMA, Lancet, Circulation and Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
