Happy 2020! We are in the new decade. As I present to all of you yet another issue of US Cardiology Review (USC), I want to take this opportunity to share our vision for 2020. Our aim is to present contemporary clinical data in a digestible, readyto- implement format for the busy, bedside clinician. USC is your go-to resource for quick, concise, and accurate reviews of relevant clinical topics that you can read on the go during lunch breaks or down time. To facilitate content delivery and continuing medical education for our colleagues, we have also put together a cardiology podcast show, Parallax, to supplement review article content in the format of audio articles that you can access from your device anytime and listen to during your commute to work or while preparing meals or exercising.
I am thrilled to present issue 13.2 of USC. In this issue of the journal, Miho Fukui and João L Cavalcante discuss the extent of cardiac damage in aortic stenosis patients and the role of imaging in classifying aortic stenosis in the era of transcatheter valve therapies. Next, Katelyn Storey and Scott W Sharkey discuss clinical features and outcomes of patients with chemotherapy-induced takotsubo syndrome. Anna Meta Dyrvig Kristensen et al. discuss baroreflex activation therapy for resistant hypertension and heart failure. In structural heart diseases, Kelsey Grossman et al. write about antithrombotic choices in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement. In our congenital heart disease section, Lydia Taranto and Tabitha Moe dive into single-ventricle physiology, and Marc G Cribbs discusses coarctation. In the annual meetings review section, Hisham A Badreldin et al. present highlights from the American College of Cardiology Annual Scientific Sessions 2019. We conclude this issue with a state-of-the-art article on artificial intelligence in cardiac imaging by Karthik Seetharam et al. and radiation safety by Sandeep Shankar et al.
